Cable dramas leaps over terrestrial broadcasting

tvN's "Flower Boy Ramyun Shop"... CGV TV's "TV The Servant"...

Dominate the online search rankings after their broadcast

'The Counterattack of Cable Dramas'

There are a couple dramas that are all over the top five rankings amongst cable and terrestrial broadcast dramas. They are tvN's "Flower Boy Ramyun Shop" and CGV TV's "TV The Servant".

The two dramas started off with only 2% of viewers (according to AGB Nielsen Media Research) but later took first place.

Led by Jeong Il-woo and Lee Cheong-ah, "Flower Boy Ramyun Shop" is a romantic comedy about a pretty boy and a girl running a ramen shop together. Not only is there laughter but a bond of sympathy for those in their 20~30s in the current 'unemployment generation'. Realistic dialogue and the speedy development of the plot are also playing a heavy role in the popularity.

Every Saturday, "TV The Servant" is reliving the popularity experienced with the movie "The Servant".

"TV The Servant" nurtured the strength of cable and satellite TV, where bolder expressions are allowed compared to terrestrially broadcast channels. Very much like the movie, lots of exposed skin and bed scenes succeeded in capturing the eyes of viewers.

"TV The Servant" is directed by Bong Man-dae from movie "The Sweet Sex And Love" and written by Jeon Cheol-hong from the movie "Crying Fist". The production team already forewarned that, "There will be racy scenes no less than were featured in the movie" and this has many anxious.
