"Marry Me, Please" finishes run on top of weekly TV charts


KBS drama "Marry Me, Please" ("All About Marriage") [KBS]

KBS weekend series "Marry Me, Please" ("All About Marriage") finished its run on top of the weekly TV charts during the third week of December, according to major research firms on Monday.

Data by Total National Media Research (TNmS) on Monday revealed that "Marry Me, Please" ("All About Marriage") scored an average viewership rating of 29.2 percent while recording a slightly higher rating mid-June.

Meanwhile, KBS' variety show "Happy Sunday" came in second place on TNmS' survey with an average rating of 26.6 percent but AGB reported that KBS' weekly drama "Smile, Dong-hae" was No. 2 with a mark of 28.8 percent.

Landing in third was SBS' romantic comedy "Secret Garden", starring Ha Ji-won and Hyeon Bin, with a mean score of 25.5 percent of TNmS' chart while AGB's poll showed that KBS' entertainment program "Happy Sunday" was the third most-watched show with a rating of 27.3 percent.

Lee Mi-yeon will act as 'Chebeol' leader.... coming back with drama 'Royal Family'


Actress Lee Mi-yeon is back on television by MBC new Wed-Thu drama 'Royal Family'.

Lee Mi-yeon who confirmed the power of woman with KBS drama 'Merchant Kim Man Deok', will act asa the main character in 'Royal Family', who becomes the head of a conglomerate after many happening.

An official said,"Right now, Lee Mi-yeon is casted as the main character. We are still at final modification stage. "Lee Mi-yeon is positively considering this opportunity.

'Royal Family', which reminds Takuya Kimura's 'Fancy Family', is about a female character who overcomes troubles and becomes the head of a conglomerate.

The script of 'Royal Family' is written by Kim Yeong-hyeon, who hitted 'Queen Seon-deok'.

On-set photos revealed from upcoming medical drama "Sign"

Several photos from upcoming SBS medical series "Sign", starring Park Shin-yang and Kim Ah-joong, have been revealed, according to producers Golden Thumb Pictures & Entertainment and Apollo Pictures on Wednesday.

The producers released several pictures from the set of "Sign" featuring main character Yoon Ji-hoon (played by Park) performing an autospy alongside Go Da-kyung (played by Kim).

"I was thinking how it was important not to lose focus and stray away from the tension as well as the character for the scene", Park was quoted as saying, adding that experts have helped him in order to make the scenes seem real as possible.

"Sign", helmed by famed producer Jang Hang-joon from movies "Break Out" and "Attack the Gas Station 2", is Korea's first medical drama on forensic scientists at a national institute for scientific institution.


Yoon and Go try to figure out who the killer is to crimes through hidden signs that are revealed with the autopsies.

The medical drama will begin its run on January 5 after current TV series "Daemul - Big Thing", starring Ko Hyeon-jeong and kwon Sang-woo ends its run.

Kim Hyun Joong to Appear in Cameo in 'Dream High'

Singer and actor Kim Hyun Joong (24) will make a cameo appearance in the KBS 2TV drama "Dream High," which will air from next January.




In the drama, which Bae Yong Joon and Park Jin Young co-produced, Kim Hyun Joong will play a star actor who is coming back to the country after conducting overseas activities.




Kim filmed the scene in which he met Bae Young Joon, who plays the chairman of the board of Kirin Art School, the best star training school, at the Incheon international airport on December 7. It was the first time that Kim Hyun Joong appeared in a scene together after Kim had transferred to Bae's agency, Keyeast. The production company of "Dream High" said, "Bae Yong Joon monitored Kim's acting and carefully provided advice about his acting. We had actually planned to film the scene without advance notice as we had worried that too many people might gather at the airport, but many fans were waiting at the airport from the early morning anyway and the entrance of the airport was almost blocked."

"Dream High," which will air its first episode on January 3, will portray the process of how students at Kirin Art School become world stars through constant challenges.
